1) Slideshows: hide nav whenever possible; 2) Avoid too many portrait images; 3) Use gestures on tablets & mobile; 4) Avoid lightboxes: disable them on mobile; 5) When using nav elements, make them unobtrusive; 6) Don’t mix images & videos; 7) Make sure images don’t scale beyond their maximum width; 8) Image scaling; 9) Avoid using image captions
