Dr. Duane S. Boning is Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the EECS Department at MIT. He is affiliated with the MIT Microsystems Technology Laboratories, and serves as MTL Associate Director for Computation and CAD. From 2004 to 2011, he served as Associate Head of the EECS Department at MIT, and from 2011 through 2013 as Director/Faculty Lead of the MIT Skoltech Initiative. He is currently Director of the MIT/Masdar Institute Cooperative Program.
Dr. Mahender Singh has over seventeen years of experience in the field of supply chain management. Before returning to academia in 2003, he worked with a leading consulting firm to implement cutting edge global supply chain planning solution for Fortune 50 companies. He has spent considerable time in various countries working on supply chain challenges. Dr. Singh’s research and teaching is focused on operations and supply chain management, with particular interest in exploring the underlying structure of complex supply chains. His current research efforts span the domain of supply chain strategy, risk management and healthcare supply chains

Dr Jérémie Gallien‘s research focuses on pushing the frontier of supply chain management. This involves collaborations with commercial firms including Amazon, Dell, Zara, IBM and global health organisations including the World Bank, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, the Millennium Villages Project and the Global Fund. Solutions developed by his research group have been implemented by several global corporations, leading to his induction as a laureate of the INFORMS Edelman Academy.
Dr Gallien has published, consulted and taught extensively in the areas of operations management; supply chain management; system optimisation and simulation. He serves on the editorial boards of Management Science, Operations Research and Manufacturing and Service Operations Management.

IDr. Lapide has over 30 years of experience in industry, consulting, business research, and academia. Most recently he was the Director of Demand Management at the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL). He also managed the launch of MIT’s Supply Chain 2020 Project and is responsible for the Strategy Alignment Workshop, one of three interactive executive education workshops created by the Center. In 2001, Dr. Lapide was recognized by Supply Chain Technology News magazine as one of four top thought leaders in supply chain; and in 2006, he was featured in Supply Chain Management Review’s “Profiles in Leadership” column. DCVelocity magazine named him as a 2007 Logistics Rainmaker. Prior to CTL, Dr. Lapide worked at AMR Research serving variously as VP and Service Director for Supply Chain Strategies, VP of Research Operations for Business Applications, and GM for Benchmarking Services.
